Pit percussion (Front Ensemble)

     They keep the tempo. Similarly to human’s heart, it helps to pump our blood pressure accordingly to make the whole of our body keep functional. There it is percussion. We can see this section into two groups which is drumline who keep the beat and front ensemble, is called as pit percussion who plays along with drumline to hit the notes beautifully.

     When says about brass section, they are divided into two groups too which are lower brass (tuba, trombone, euphonium) and high brass(trumpet, horn). These sections act up as a back-up in marching band. Specifically, they support high brass and woodwind or they are called as melody. Brass makes the sound becomes more harmony and mellow.

     If you know how bird chirps, it is the flute. If you know how to make atmosphere becomes romantic and sexy, it is saxophone (alto saxophone and tenor saxophone). If you know the sound of instrument famously plays by Squidword in Spongebob Squarepants cartoon, it is clarinet. Basically these are what and how woodwind is. They usually play their role as a back-up and melody too. It depends on the song. Every woodwind have parts in the song like who is going to play the first part (melody), second part (semi melody/ semi back-up) and lastly the third part ( fully back-up).

                              Color guards

                         Color guards with flags

     They cheer the band with their colors, movements, dance, beautiful flags, riffles and some other related props to the theme accordingly. They dance in unison thus it is fulfilled with good of emotions into their steps and also they are well-prepared visually with make-up and magnificent attire. That is how color guard is. They move beautifully around band members in the formation and also they hold flags during parade in the marching line.
