My passion? It's a marching band !: Ways to keep them shine

Before, during and after using the instruments, definitely there are ways to handle them in a right ways. It is not to simply use it and then leave it. The sound that has been produced by the instrument is affected by how the person put an effort to take care of it. As a simple analogy, we know more if we care more. Everything in marching band such as blowers' instruments, flags, percussion or even the room where the instruments are kept, there have to make sure the place is clean and in a good condition. As this hygiene is practiced regularly, the music instruments will definitely appear shiny and that will leave a beautiful impression to the audience who go to see the formation of the wonderful one.

For blowers (person who blows instruments), the player cannot eat something sweets whenever they blow the instruments in a way to prevent it from insects. This is a safe protection for the player during playing the music instruments. All of the instruments must be washed and polished to make it shine brightly and to have a good sound similarly to percussion and color guard too. Brass player and woodwind player are recommended to wear gloves to prevent their sweat directly splash on their instruments. Hence, fungus can be avoided from spreading inside of instrument and around the fingerings’ parts. After use them, put it back in their case from where they belongs to. Keep it clean and neat by regularly clean up and vacuum the case.

Furthermore, the music instruments need to be handled with thousands of care. Music instruments are not physically solid that make them are prevented from any harmful situation, for instance, breaking them into two if they are bumped on the floor or from rusting. By this, meaning that is why we need to polish and the most importantly to carry the music instruments carefully. As human, it is true that we cannot purposely avoid any accident because we cannot predict where, when, what and how. As to wrap this out, we can try at our best in everything we do as possible as we can in our life.
